The results are in. We have an astonishing 99 homes (out of 171 in good standing) represented at the meeting Thursday night. That equates to 57.8% in attendance for the special meeting. It was great to see everyone come out. Check out the breakdown and results...
Of the 99 homes represented, we had 84 families show up in person and 15 represented via proxy.
Results:
Item 1 - Keep or Change the current 2015 Recreation Fee
A. Keep Recreation Fee as it is:
All HOA members pay $354 total. $210 HOA fees, $144 Recreation Fee which includes a pool membership.
B. Change Recreation Fee to provide a choice of two options.
Option 1 - $210 HOA fee, $50 Recreation Fee, no pool membership (Total $260)
Option 2 - $210 HOA fee, $50 Recreation Fee, $94 pool membership (Total $354)
Option 'B' passed with 79.8% of your votes
If you have already paid $354 for your HOA dues this year and you are not interested in using the pool this year, please email the pool committee for a refund of $94.
Item 2 - Change in Quorum percentage at general and Special meeting
Keep the Quorum percentage requirement at 20% .
Change the Quorum percentage requirement to 25% . If changed, the policy would be in effect starting the day after this special meeting.
Option 'B' passed with 80.8% of your votes
Item 3 - Addition of Absentee ballots:
Allow notarized absentee ballots for all future votes.
Do not allow notarized absentee ballots for all future votes.
Option 'A' passed with84.4% of your votes
With the results of Item 3, the vote had sufficient attendance to update the by laws to allow absentee ballots for all future votes (not pertaining to financial assessments), however, we would need 90% acceptance of the community to update the deed of dedication. So look for us coming around with a petition if you were not at the meeting Thursday. Allowing absentee ballots will allow your vote to be counted even if you cannot make the meeting in person or via proxy.
Thanks again for everyone who came out Thursday night. We hope to see you all again for the October Annual Meeting.
